CONFABULARIO:
UN HOMBRE DE TRAJE Y CAPA Y EL CABELLO ALBOROTADO
(Based on Confabulario by Juan José Arreola)
(2019)
Book and Production: José Manuel López Velarde
They say people are walking books, each writing their story day by day. And perhaps we could each choose a book that best represents our life—but what if the roles were reversed? What would a book be like if it were a person?
Created in the context of the centennial celebration of writer Juan José Arreola’s birth, and as part of the Libros Vivos project (an initiative by José María Arreola), this monologue is based on Confabulario, his most renowned work.
