El Hombre Partido
(2003)

1/9
Direction: José Manuel López Velarde
A man goes to war and is struck by a cannonball that splits him in two. When the war ends, only one half returns—the evil half—who sets out to terrorize everyone, trying to split them in his own image.
Then, unexpectedly, the good half returns, giving people hope… but they soon realize that two halves, on their own, don’t necessarily make a whole man.
Based on The Cloven Viscount by Italo Calvino, The Split Man (EL Hombre Partido) is José Manuel López Velarde’s debut in professional theater.
